Inspiration:
The last time I was in Spain with my husband we had the pleasure of visiting a traditional hammam. Full of gorgeous tilework and hidden pools it was beautiful and warm and glowed in candlelight. I felt like I was in another world. But what grounded the experience was the quiet ritual of it all. The cleansing. The heat. The soaking. The gratitude for receiving such care. The idea that ritual is something we can create for ourselves. We can take it with us wherever we go.
Details:
This is a framed mixed media painting on a 1.5" gallery wrapped canvas. The simple float frame is made from unfinished maple. This piece is titled and signed on the back and will arrive wired and ready to hang.
