Holding those rocks brought me into the moment with my son and I felt so grateful that he had shared them with me. I took a small one home and started carrying it in my pocket.

A few years later I created my first collection of Gratitude paintings. Each piece was named for something small I appreciated in my life. Those pieces felt so special to me I created another collection the following year, and another after that. You can see the stone-shaped inspiration from those original rocks in several of them.

And because the practice of painting my gratitude led to me being generally more appreciative of the small joys in my life - these pieces feel like the perfect paintings to share with you.

The artwork we live with has a way of shaping how we feel. It can make a room softer, a morning quieter, or a small corner more meaningful. When I paint, I think a lot about calm, grounding energy, and those little flashes of joy that remind us why life is good.

The past few years have been full of challenges for me personally and for the world in general. It's easy to feel overwhelmed and a little bit hopeless. As I mentioned, this collection was inspired by my gratitude practice and the small things that are available to all of us to brighten up our days. I want you to experience that feeling in your home - a daily reminder from a simple piece of art. Something that makes you pause for a second and feel grateful for the things you do you have.

Offering these prints for free felt like a good way to share that feeling with more people.

I’ve spent years creating work that feels calm and layered. Now I’m excited to share it with more new collectors who may not know me yet but appreciate thoughtful, beautiful interiors.
