Inspiration:
The three medium sized paintings in this collection were created as an exploration of the joy I find in live music.
The idea for the Joy collection came after my family and I attended a Flaming Lips concert at the Greek theater in Berkeley. The sounds, colors and overall spectacle of the show were pure joy. I tried to capture the buoyant feelings I associate with live music as well as the joy of sharing these experiences with others in community.
Music has the power to inspire, to change our moods, and to connect us with others. I hope these paintings serve as a reminder as well.
Details:
This is a mixed media painting on a 1.5" gallery wrapped canvas. The edges are painted a dark brown and you have the choice to order it unframed or in my favorite unfinished maple float frame. This piece is titled and signed on the back and will arrive wired and ready to hang.
