Inspiration:
What is it about wet earth that is so irresistible? Is it the smell? The texture? The taboo of getting delightfully dirty? One of my favorite memories as a kid was a day spent with cousins exploring the shores of a lake by boat. We found an area in which the muddy sand came up to our knees when we stepped in it and we spent hours and hours just walking around through the mud. To this day I can recall the sensation, the delight, the connection to the earth.
Details:
This is a framed mixed media painting on a 1.5" gallery wrapped canvas. The simple float frame is made from unfinished maple. This piece is titled and signed on the back and will arrive wired and ready to hang.
