Inspiration:
I’m not much of a collector at this point in my life, but when I was a child I had a massive shell collection. Mostly I picked them up on beach vacations - combing the beach for hours hoping for a whole sand dollar or perfect cockle shell. But with every new shell I found the first thing I did was turn it over to admire the pearly soft surface underneath. Those creamy colors and cool soft depressions felt like sweet secrets. The real treasure hidden underneath the showy outer surface.
Details:
This is a framed mixed media painting on a 1.5" gallery wrapped canvas. The simple float frame is made from unfinished maple. This piece is titled and signed on the back and will arrive wired and ready to hang.
